Hi, Mayor Larry Johannson here,

Every child has the right to a safe and happy childhood free from exploitation and abuse.

In these times of social media, paired with easily accessible internet, children are in danger of being groomed and abused even more so than ever before.

We need to have conversations with the kids around us and build strong, trusting relationships, be involved in what they do and most of all show them love and support.

Thank you to those involved in the Grandmother’s Walk which shines a light on and brings awareness to these issues and delivers the message that these violations against our children must stop today.
